Michelle Gerber was raised in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In 2004, she earned her Bachelors of Arts, with honors, from the
University of Michigan
and graduated from the University of Miami School of Law,
cum laude, in 2007. While
attending law school, Ms. Gerber was the Senior Articles & Comments
Editor of the University of
Miami Business Law Review, was named to the
Dean's List, and served on the Law Activity Fee Allocation Committee.
Outside of the classroom, she volunteered as a mentor for foster
children seeking educational guidance.
Ms. Gerber's previous professional
experience includes clerking for a United States Magistrate Judge in the
Eastern District of Pennsylvania as well as working at a Miami-based law
firm that specializes in commercial litigation and bankruptcy. Ms.
Gerber is a member of the Florida Bar and the Florida Association for
Women Lawyers. She concentrates her practice in the area of complex
commercial litigation. She has been admitted to practice in
Florida State Court, the Southern District of Florida and U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.
